I loving using oils in my skin care and hair care routine. I’m not the most religious person when it comes to using oils – but whenever I get the chance I love the mini pampering session and I love how by the end of it my hair looks soft, luscious and bouncy. Considering the fast-paced life and the fact that I don’t always get a chance to oil my tresses I take care in choosing the right oils for my hair and ensure that it is loaded with ingredients/oil combinations to help my tackle my hair fall issue and nourish my hair.
During my childhood, I used to use oil made by my grandpa who used many herbs to make the oil even more nourishing. After his passing, I really didn’t have anyone who could make it for me and I was too young to remember what he had used. Now with the boom of social media and consumerism, in general, it is very easy to come across products, which were once mostly made at home or simply lost recipes for amazing products. One such recent brand I got the opportunity to try out is Yeka Herbals and I tried their hair oil.
What the brand claims

- From 2nd time use, you may use it for an hour or may even leave it overnight.

- For severe hair fall problems, you can use it every day.”
MY EXPERIENCE WITH YEKA HERBALS HAIR OIL
The base oil of Yeka Herbals is made up of coconut oil and sesame oil. Coconut oil helps stimulate hair growth while nourishing your tresses to make them look soft and shiny. Sesame oil helps to prevent premature greying, reverse heat damage on your hair follicles, get rid of dandruff and one of the best deep nourishing oils for dry hair. It also has the goodness of leafy greens infused with the oil, which help maintain a healthy and shiny hair. Spinach is rich in vitamins A, C, B2, B6, B1, E, omega-3 fatty acids, manganese, iron, and zinc all of which nourish hair and scalp. These are just some of the key ingredients and there are whopping 27 amazing nutrients which are very beneficial to your scalp and hair.
Yeka Herbals hair oil comes in a plastic bottle with a flip open cap. I love that the packaging lists all the ingredients in the oil. The oil as such has a very strong herbal smell. While I wasn’t too fond of , it didn’t irritate my nose either. As instructed I used the oil for 30 minutes on the first use. The oil has a mild tingling sensation when you massage it onto your scalp. For those familiar with Tamil the oil leaves a ‘viru viru’ feeling which lasts a couple of minutes; this could be due to the presence of camphor in the oil. This sensation makes the hair-massaging feel even more relaxing. The oil washes off fairly easily, but it does require a little bit of work since it has sesame oil, which is heavier oil. I used a Forest Essentials shampoo and conditioner to wash off the oil and I loved how my hair felt – soft and luscious. I haven’t left the oil on overnight but I have left it on for a couple of hours – and with regular use I noticed that my hair had lesser frizz and the breakaways are reducing. My husband who gets dandruff now and then used this oil and he said it helped with the itchiness a lot. Overall, we are both very happy with our experience.
