Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum

Over the past couple of months I’ve been trying to incorporate serums into my skincare. Serums being highly potent and rich ingredients are one of the best products to bring back the youthful glow to the skin. Today I will be reviewing Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum, which not only lived up to its claims but didn’t irritate my sensitive skin either.

The product claims to “A transformative retinol serum that fights wrinkles and provides hydration for visibly smoother, rejuvenated skin.

  • Diminishes wrinkles
  • Stimulates collagen
  • Improves skin tone
  • Manages breakouts
  • Conditions skin.

My Experience with Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum

My skin has a mind of its own and often times it loves to behave like a teenager – erratic and crazy AKA the breaks out. My skin has been this way for a long time and I don’t see it deciding to calm down anytime soon. I have been slowly introducing it to serums and trying to take care of it as much as possible and the latest addition has been Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum.

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum

Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum is a potent mixture with Retinol, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. The brand suggests using this product 2-3 days a week initially till you skin gets adjusted to the ingredients. I suggest doing this no matter what serum you use, and especially for products that have Vitamin C and Retinol; both of these are quite potent ingredients and if your skin is sensitive it needs time to get adjusted. I have been using this serum for close to a month now and I like how it has made my skin brighter and added a nice glow. It has also helped fade scars to a certain extent. It does have a slightly weird smell, but it is way too mild to bother anyone. I’ve been trying to avoid parabens in my skincare and I glad that Valentia Night Revive Retinol Serum is paraben free! YAY! Overall I find this a great product, the only issue I see is that some might find this expensive.

The Good

  • Free of parabens
  • Adds glow to the face
  • Helps fade scars & pigmentation to a certain level
  • Didn’t break out my sensitive acne prone skin
  • Has a very mild fragrance

The Bad

  • On the expensive side

Overall verdict: 4 / 5

  1. I agree, with all these potent ingredients it is better to slowly introduce them into your skincare routine. The serum sounds similar to the Sunday Riley Luna I am currently using, very gentle on the skin despite the retinol.
Luna does not contain an abundance of Vitamin C though, so I am definitely interested.

    1. I’ve been wanting to try the Sunday Riley Luna serum but I was not sure if it is worth the very high price tag. Do you think it will work well with sensitive acne prone skin?
