If someone asked me to choose just one makeup product – I would definitely choose a lipstick. Actually it could be a gloss or a lipstick. But the point is, I am a lip person. I do take care of my lips by applying nourishing lip balms and exfoliating with a brush. I have made my own sugar lip scrubs, but I have never used a store bought version. I received The Nature’s Co Lycee Sugar Lip Scrub as part of their December Wish Box and I was super excited to try it out.
The product claims to “Gently exfoliates the lips making them soft and smooth, renew layers and protect against extreme climate.
Brown sugar gently exfoliates the lips making them soft and smooth, while lychee’s moisturizing properties will renew the layers and protect against extreme climate. Rub over your lips using circular motions. Wash it off or clean with a wet cloth. Get pink and kissable lips.
Ingredients: Lychee extract, Grapeseed oil, Jojoba oil, Olive oil, lemon oil.”
My Experience with The Nature’s Co Lycee Sugar Lip Scrub
I received the teeniest sample of The Nature’s Co Lycee Sugar Lip Scrub and wondered if it would be enough for me to use a make a decision of the product. Little did I know that a very small quantity is required for every use. I have used this lip scrub around 10 times and I have still have a long way to go before I hit the pan.
To use The Nature’s Co Lycee Sugar Lip Scrub scoop out the teeniest bit of the product on your finger tips and rubbed it on your lips. Take your time and be gentle. Being a sugar based scrub it is very effective in removing dead cells and the oils present in it moisturize your lips well. The lip scrub tastes sweet. I know these aren’t meant to be eaten; but I ended up licking my lips a bit and I was surprised by how sweet and yummy it tasted. Ladies, just because it tastes sweet don’t go around eating it 😀 .
The Nature’s Co Lycee Sugar Lip Scrub is the first ever store bought lip scrub I have and I am thoroughly impressed with it. If there are any cons it might have to be the price quotient and that they aren’t easily available.
The Good
- Softens lips well
- Feels amazing to use
- Sweet fruity fragrance
- Though not meant to be eaten this does taste good
The Bad
- Availability can be an issue
- Some may find it expensive

I too received it in my December Beauty box. Loving it. Though we can simply make lip scrubs at home with sugar and olive oil, I feel like this is a little bit of pampering :p

It looks like a good lip scrub. Nicely reviewed. I agree price is on a higher side.

I am from Vietnam and it’s not available here. So Do you know where I can order it? And thanks for your detailed review!
Unfortunately the brand doesn’t ship internationally. Unless you have someone travelling to India this lip scrub will be hard to get your hands on.
It is looking so yummy…

Nice one Sangeeta. I never bought a lip scrub ever as it is easily diy-able but, I love the whole feel of a new product, ready to use and that slightly fancy vibe. Moi wants 😀
The easy use and trying something new is what excited me about this scrub.
This sounds impressive. I always like to make a DIY lip scrub. I would love to try this one!

Do give it a try Karishma. This is perfect for days when you don’t feel like whipping up your DIY lip scrub.
I think comparing the prices of most lip scrubs, this one is quite affordable. But always a small pot and a big price? Right now I’m using the one from TBS and also DIY lips scrubs. Loved your review?

Great review Sangeeta! It looks similar to a sugar scrub that I prepare at home. I have always loved TNC products for their quality!
