If there is one drugstore brand that I love it has got to be Maybelline. I love their range and colour selection. I am not going to say I have an extensive collection of products from Maybelline. But I do love every single piece that I own. The latest addition is their uber cute, superbly pigmented Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow and I own it in the shade Cherry.
The product claims, “Baby Lips Candy WOW comes in a new retractable crayon format with delicious flavors – Raspberry, Mixed Berry, Orange, Cherry and Peach.
The chubby stick is enriched with Vitamin E that helps keep your lips hydrated for long and keep them protected even in harsh winters. The crayon format makes it easy to apply and glides on smoothly. Everyone will go WOW with this pop of colour, glossy shine, yummy candy flavor and the tinge of style.”
Available in 4 shades, buy online at Amazon.in
My Experience with Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow Cherry
Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow comes in 5 gorgeous colours – Raspberry, Mixed Berry, Orange, Peach and Cherry. That’s 5 amazing colour for you to choose from, and for tinted lip balms these are amazingly pigmented and leave a gorgeous glossy feeling.
The packaging of Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow is beyond cute. It reminds me a lot of my Toki Doki lipgloss set. The lip balm comes in a chubby stick format with a twist up crayon. The lipbalm has a smooth creamy texture and is infused with the goodness of Vitamin E. It is easy to use the product and you can easily cover your lips in a jiffy. Since they are thick it is also easy to go overboard and go beyond the lines. Just be wary of this point.
I’ve been using this for the past 2 months and it has managed to moisturize my lips well while leaving behind a gorgeous sheen. If you have very dry lips it is best to use a deeper moisturizing balm underneath Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow lip balm. A little bit more on the shade Cherry – is a beautiful red with mild hints of orange in it. Depending on your lip colour it could look slightly more pinkish or redder. I have pigmented lips, while it doesn’t even out the pigmentation or hide it, it doesn’t make it look weird. It also lasts about 1-2 hours max before fading and leaving a reddish tinge on your lips. What I didn’t fancy so much is the price compared to the quantity provided. If you are able to overlook this one tiny point I am sure you will love Maybelline Baby Lips Candy Wow.
The Good

Beauty with charm
It’s not superbly hydrating. But it definitely is super cute.
I hate Maybelline Baby Lips and seems to be the only one in the beauty world who dislikes it. It dries out my lips so bad. 🙁

That’s bad. I’ve never faced that issue with Baby Lips. It’s not superbly moisturizing. But it never dried out my lips.
I’m currently using Berry shade & I love how creamy it is & pigmented. Great post..

It has a lot of pigmentation considering a lip balm. Lovely review!
Thanks Ankita. It definitely does. And congratulations on your venture with Life with Herbals.

Hi5 Carol. Nice to see so many fans of Maybelline. Though prices slightly higher I am looking forward to trying more shades from this range.
I have the same one, it’s probably the most pigmented of all out there. It adds good flush of color to lips giving them a shiny look. All should have one from this range at least.

Nice review, I haven’t bought any from this range yet though the packaging is cute. My sis bought this cherry shade and I noticed it looks bad over chapped lips

If you have very dry lips it can cling to areas. Scrub away before giving this a try.
Thanks for this review! The smells sound amazing with this line. I love cherry so I might need to try. Have a terrific weekend!

I wish it stayed longer. It really comes out beautifully on lips 🙂
For a lip balm I am satisfied with the stay. But like you mentioned it would have been nice if I didn’t have to top up every few hours.
i love baby lips and this packaging means I am so gonna try this
The packaging and the shade are both super cute.

Nice review Sangeeta. Currently I am loving Maybelline Electro Pop Lip Balm. It’s super hydrating. Also, I am not a huge fan of lip balms as I love lipsticks and lipgloss more that’s why I didn’t get my hands on this one. But I love its packaging.
