MAC Brick O La Lipstick | Review & Swatches

MAC Brick O La

I own only a handful of MAC lipsticks, a couple to be precise but I love all the shades I own and find them a great investment. I found MAC Brick O La when I was shopping for my wedding trousseau. In fact this was the shade I wore on my wedding day and I love it to bits. Read more to find out everything I love about MAC Brick O La.

My Experience with MAC Brick O La

MAC Brick O La is a gorgeous pinkish red shade. MAC describes the shades as mid-tone berry. The shade works amazingly for Indian skin tones especially those with medium to dusky skin tones. The pigmentation is absolutely stunning and the shade lasts an easy 3-4 hours and even longer if you blot it and set it. It slowly fades to a nice berry shade.

Brick O La is an amplified crème lipstick making it creamy and smooth to apply, and it leaves a glossy finish. Amplified crème lipsticks are similar to matte lipsticks in terms of coverage but with a bit of sheen and non-drying texture. I find it nicely moisturizing on lips and it doesn’t accentuate dry spots. It doesn’t settle into find lines either. With some full coverage lipsticks you’ll feel them sitting on your lips and at times the lips may feel a little parched, but with MAC crème lipsticks you will find them very comfortable to wear. It has a mild vanilla like fragrance, nothing to rave about. Overall, this is an absolutely stunning shade and I highly recommend it!

    1. Thank you Zubaida. They are worth every penny. However, if they weren’t so expensive I would hoard up on lots of MAC lipsticks.
