I am a very messy at applying nail polish. I manage to get them streaky, clumpy, uneven, and all this very easily. I also tend to bang and scrape my hand against various surfaces, thus hurting myself numerous times a day and managing to chip my nail polishes easily. For all of this I tend not to be keen on nail polishes, but I do love painting my nails. On one of my random shopping sprees I picked up a gorgeous mint nail polish – Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Nail Polish Mint Julep.
The product claims to “Super shiny and plumpy nails in one stroke. It delivers rich color for high coverage for gel nails with a professional finish.
- Professional finish gel nails
- High coverage
- Rich color”
MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAKME ABSOLUTE GEL STYLIST NAIL POLISH IN MINT JULEP
Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist Nail polish in Mint Julep is a pretty muted mint green. I say muted because the shade is lighter than other mint shades I have come across. The polish is slightly towards the streaky side, at least this shade is. Using a base coat helps here. The brush is big and it is easy to paint over each nail. Since, I am messy at applying nail polish I used a water-glue mixture outside my nail to avoid as much as unwanted polish as possible. The pigmentation of this shade is good. 2 coats are all you need to get an opaque effect. I have seen the polish last close to week though it starts looking dull after 2-3 days. The gloss also takes long to dry. The biggest con is see is the price bracket – 400 bucks for a nail polish is expensive. I wish it were cheaper and the shade a little deeper. I am not sure if I will pick up another Absolute Gel nail polish but it is worth trying once.
