If there is one body part that goes through a lot it’s our feet. And guess what, it needs more attention and care to go back to its soft and tender state. Foot creams and moisturizers do their part, but we need something to help get rid of the dry skin and that’s where foot scrubs come into play. They are coarser than face & body scrubs, and help soften our feet well. This is a review Khadi Lemon Pedi Scrub. Read more to find out if it gives the tender loving care our feet need.
The product claims to “Specially developed pedi scrub, which helps to cleanse the dead skin cells on the feet and hand. It removes dead cells from epidermal layers of the skin. It is an ideal preparation for manicure and pedicure.
Usage: Rub gently on feet and hands for 15 minutes, clean with cotton.”
My Experience with Khadi Lemon Pedi Scrub
I’ve used face and body scrubs on my feet, but they were never enough. I also use my own version, wherein I use coffee grounds, mix it with coconut oil, olive oil and add a pinch of sugar. This is an amazing scrub and I always come out with super soft feet. But I have to admit, I am lazy and sometimes taking those few minutes to prepare my homemade scrub is still a lot. I’ve been using the Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub and loving it, but I have almost used up the product. Just when I was wondering if I should repurchase it, I found Khadi Lemon Pedi Scrub hidden away in my skin care stash. Yes, I forgot I purchased it. I’ve been using it for a while and I can’t say I am super impressed but it isn’t bad either.
Khadi Lemon Pedi Scrub comes in a tub. The scrub has reddish orange colour with black particles. It also has a mild lemon like fragrance, which is refreshing. This is not a scrub that is coarse, and it takes a little bit more effort to work on your feet. The product description mentions that the scrub needs to be rubbed on the feet for 15 minutes and then wiped off. 15 minutes! I don’t have that kind of time or patience, I don’t think anyone does. But I do patiently use it, rubbing it on my feet for a good 5 minutes and then washing it off. My feet feel soft, but definitely nowhere close to how they feel after I use Spa Ceylon Green Mint Cooling Foot Scrub. However, I used this scrub on my hands and I was impressed. My hands felt soft and hydrated. Availability is always an issue with Khadi products; they seem to be out of stock often. But overall a decent purchase and a better one if you use it on the hands instead of your feet.
The Good
- Can be used on both hands & feet
- Affordable
- Has a mild refreshing fragrance
The Bad
- Rather mild for a foot scrub
- Needs to be rubbed on the feet for a long time
- Availability is an issue

The scrub looks like fruit jam 😉

Jam it is.. it really does look like food.
Another amazing review by one of my favourite bloggers! I’ve never used special foot scrubs, I always use body scrubs but now I am going to give it a try.
The deal with Khadi products that like you said, they’re not always available.
But generally I like their products.

Thanks Jane 🙂
I put my feet through a lot, so I need something heavy duty to help make my feet soft. And the availability issue is a bit of a nuisance sometimes.
A decent scrub with very affordable price!!! I simply can’t resist seeing the pictures as it looks something very yummy..:D
Nice review dear!!!

It’s mild but it does the job decently.
Great review and very detail I never try a foot scrub like this one. Thanks for the introduction.
Thanks for stopping by Jackie. This definitely is a foot scrub like no other.
It looks like strawberry jam. 🙂 I think I can find food in everything. :p I love khadi. Well reviewed!
Thanks Ankita. And yes it definitely looks like strawberry jam. This is one of those products where you can see it, sniff it, smell it, dream about it, but never ever try eating it 😀
That is a big con !! 😮 😉
Good review. Still on the lookout as well for a good scrub on my feet too!

You should give Spa Ceylon Foot Scrub a try. It is amazing. So amazing that I can’t stop raving about it.
Untill the Spa Ceylon one even I used body scrub/ DIY for scrubbing the foot. This looks decent, can be given try. Khadi products falls right in between 🙂

If you love the Spa Ceylon one like I do, it is best to give Khadi a skip. Spa Ceylon one is totally amazing.
It looks good enough to eat. Too bad it doesn’t work that great.

It does work nicely on the hands though and definitely looks yummy enough to eat.
It looks yummy kind of food and for foot scrub exfoliating particles should not be too mild. Nice review though.

Thanks Zubaida. Rightly said, it is better if foot scrubs are a little harsh.
It looks so yummy!! sad it is not as good as foot scrub but for the feel of this, I will love to try this on.

The homemade foot scrub is the best. My feet feel smooth every single time.
It is looking like a strawberry jam or pulp. Great review, I usually neglect my feet, and scrubs which are harsh for skin and unused I use them on my feet 😀

I am totally in need of a good foot scrub. At my last pedicure, I feel like they barely did anything to soften my feet. Sometimes you gotta take it into your own hands (or feet haha!).

15 minutes sounds like a long time but I bet your feet will be so smooth after that. Thanks for the review!
It’s way too long a time. I did that a few times, but seriously who has 15 minutes to scrub their feet.
This sounds great. My feet have been super dry lately. I need to pay more attention to them

This is a decent foot scrub. If your feet a very dry you will need something more heavy duty. You can check out Spa Ceylon Foot Scrub. Yes, it is expensive, but definitely worth it and you will love how smooth your feet become.
I think foot scrubs should not be mild. This looks more of a body polish/scrub. Looks yummm :p

I love khadi soaps but I would give it a miss, I need harsh scrubs for feet which can actually make a difference.

Their soaps are amazing. And they smell totally divine. The scrub was very so-so.
I do not have patience to massage for 15mins 😀 It looks nice but after reading your review I guess I would stick to DIY one (I also use same DIY as you) 🙂
