The first step to a proper skincare starts with a clean skin. But when it comes to clean skin and pores a lot of people make the mistake of using a heavy-duty cleanser, which cleanses the skin well but also strips the skin of any natural moisture and makes it feel parched. A milder cleanser will definitely be more beneficial to your skin. I was recommended Kaya Purifying Cleanser by my friend, and I’ve got to say I loved it from the very first use.
The product claims to “Kaya Purifying Cleanser gently cleanses the pores from deep within, removing excess oil, dirt and impurities. It contains Salicylic Acid with acne fighting properties that help reduce acne and prevent future breakouts. Unique skin conditioners ensure that skin doesn’t feel stretched and dry. A must have for clear, oil-free and healthier looking skin.”
My Experience with Kaya Purifying Cleanser
Kaya Purifying Cleanser used to come in a sleek white bottle with a pump dispenser (which is the version I have). The packaging has now been modified to a squeeze tube. The cleanser itself is a colourless gel with a mild refreshing fragrance.
The first time I used this cleanser my skin was slightly breaking out and while it wasn’t bad the breakouts were painful and red. Right from the very first use I could see that the cleanser was good for my skin. It cleansed my skin well but it didn’t leave it screaming for moisture. Neither did it further irritate or cause any more breakouts. I can’t say it helped reduce my acne but it did make them more manageable and less painful. If you are someone with acne prone skin or if your skin is just sensitive and gets irritated easily this is definitely the cleanser for you. If there is one thing I am not very keen on is that it contains silicones. But despite being someone who is sometimes irritable to silicone-based products this one did not bother me.
Overall this is definitely a great gentle cleanser your skin will love.
- Cleanses the skin well without stripping it of moisture
- Has a refreshing mild fragrance
- Gentle on sensitive skin
- Doesn’t irritate active breakouts
- Some may find it a little pricey
- Contains SLS and silicones
Overall verdict: 4.5 / 5
