I got on to the serum bandwagon recently. Serums are concentrated concoctions that do the trick with the tiniest bit of product. These help target problem areas and add a sort of radiance and glow to the skin. One such serum that I tried recently is the Just Herbs Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum Gotukola Indian Ginseng. The name is quite a handful; I am just going to refer it as Just Herbs Elixir.
The product claims to “This multi-tasking night serum is a synergistic blend of treasured Indian herbs to nourish and restore a natural glow and youthfulness to tired, ageing and pigmented skin. Plant polyphenols, flavonoids and carotenoids present in these precious botanicals are helpful in the treatment of spots and other forms of skin pigmentation, and also in diminishing fine lines and skin ageing.
Directions: Use the dropper to dispense a pea size amount on your palm. Apply to clean face before the moisturizer at night. Gently massage in circular motion till absorbed. For spot treatment, use 1-2 drops on the affected area. Alternatively, add a few drops to your cream or gel to boost their effect.”
My Experience with Just Herbs Elixir
Just Herbs Elixir serum comes in a tiny bottle packing with a dropper. The dropper helps dispense just the right amount of product for every use. The serum has a pale yellow colour with a slightly gritty texture. Despite the gritty texture the serum dissolves into the skin easily. It may initially leave a greasy feeling but this vanishes in minutes. I have almost used up this serum and I am impressed with it and glad I got to try it. With regular use of this serum I noticed that my skin looked brighter and had a mild glow to it. It did not break me out; in fact it helped calm my breakouts. However, it had little to no effect on the pesky blackheads my oily skin keeps popping up with. It has helped with the acne scars I have, however the effect is mild on old scars. I have used this serum in conjunction with my moisturizers and other night creams, and there have been no issues or mishaps with my skin going bad.
Some of the cons I could see with Just Herbs Elixir serum is that the smell it has isn’t so appealing. It’s not revolting but it isn’t pleasant either. But the fragrance doesn’t last long and this could easily be tolerated for a brief period of time. The serum also comes in glass packing, so ensure you take extra care. The price of this isn’t cheap either, but hey most serums are expensive. When you look at the overall picture Just Herbs Elixir serum comes out with glowing colours and it definitely makes your skin glow.
