I love using henna on my hair. My hair is rather limp, scanty and well practically barely there. I am always looking for ways to nourish my hair and add volume. For years henna has been favourite – it adds shine to my hair, bounce and really makes it look thicker than what it actually is. But the process of applying henna is rather tedious – you have to prepare the mask beforehand, applying can be messy, you need to leave it on for a few hours to get better results and it takes time to remove it as well. What if you could combine all the benefits of henna in an easy 2 step process – that’s where Garnier Ultra Blends Henna & Blackberry Shampoo and Conditioner comes in.
Product Claims: If your hair is dull and lacks shine it may be lacking nourishment. Our formula, which is a blend of Henna & Blackberry, not only nourishes your hair but also gives incredible shine. Discover hair that is nourished, vibrant and shiny with every wash.
My Experience with Garnier Ultra Blends Henna & Blackberry Shampoo & Conditioner
Shampoo: Garnier Ultra Blends Henna & Blackberry Shampoo comes in a purplish bottle with a similar coloured watery gel textured product. The shampoo provided me with similar nourishment as using henna but minus the mess and hassle of keeping it for long. A little bit about my hair – I have oily scalp but my hair tends to look dry & frizzy. The shampoo easily cleansed my hair removing excess oil, made it shine and tamed frizz to a great level. My hair had bounce and volume, and it was wonderful seeing my 4 strands of hair look healthy and voluminous. You could really see the benefits of the henna leaf shining through each use. The shampoo also has Blackberry fruit, which is loaded with Vitamin C and antioxidants, which are beneficial for hair growth. While I love that the shampoo has the goodness of henna, glycerine, castor oil, henna leaf and blackberry, I am saddened it does have its share of chemicals in the form of sulphates and silicones.
Conditioner: I love conditioners, which have a nice thick consistency. I feel like I use very little product and that it coats my hair well. Garnier Ultra Blends Henna & Blackberry Conditioner comes as a thick whitish paste, which feels creamy and smells amazing. I need very little product to coat my hair. The conditioner has a mild fragrance, which is refreshing. It makes my hair soft, shiny and really keeps the tiny hairs down reducing frizz. Overall this is a great companion to be used with the shampoo.

- Paraben-free
- Cleanses hair well

The Bad
- Loaded with chemicals
- Not exactly a replacement for using henna on hair

Blend of Henna & Blackberry….sounds good. A great product for hair
Though not a replacement for using henna, it is quite nice.

That is it. The colour is super attractive.
I like using henna in my hair as well. This sounded promising but it’s too bad it has so many chemicals.

Chemicals are there every where these days. It is getting hard to find a good range of products without them.
even though it is laden with chemicals, it looks great to try… probably a small bottle is good to start with…
You can always pick up the mini and give it a try. It is a good shampoo-conditioner duo.
Ah, darn! Too bad it doesn’t offer the same benefits of henna.

But is really hasslefree and easy to use.
I have used the shampoo and liked it. But haven’t repurchased as it contains many chemicals 🙁 Btw, if you looking to add volume and thickness to your hair, you can try using hibiscus hair mask. The one from Nature’s Co is very good. Also Aroma Essentials Onion Shea Butter Hair Cleanser is very good in adding volume and bounce to hair…

Thanks for the suggestions, Archana. I will try them out.
Henna somehow is a big no for me. Really dries up my hair. These two, shampoo and conditioner are tempting, but too much of chemical I guess is the route to my disaster. Already I am struggling with hair dropping, I doubt if I will try.

Have you tried using avocado, olive oil and honey mask. I found it to be perfect for my hair whenever it decided to act crazy frizzy and dry.
I have used the conditioner and found it just about ok for my hair. Anyway I don’t like the effect of Henna. But I guess its a great pick for those who like henna.
I like henna. It really does wonders to my hair. This duo wasn’t exactly like using henna but it was close enough.
Love the color of the shampoo. Definitely gonna try the shampoo soon.
The packaging is definitely very attractive. The product as such is colourless for the shampoo.
The packaging of this product is amazing. Also, the fragrance of the shampoo is too good.
I love the packaging colour. Super attractive.
I’m yet to try anything from this range. Thanks for the review!
Thank you 🙂
Sounds like regular ones. Though I tried one conditioner from this line, it worked for me well.
Do you recall which conditioner it was?
Good review.. I love garnier and I can only imagine the divine aroma 🙂 it seems like it does what it says it will and the pricing is good.
It is a fairly decent hair care range for the price you pay.
Chemicals, I’m really not loving this word more, but the best part is that it reduces the frizz and is really affordable.

Give it a try if you are looking at changing your hair care product.
Can give it a try for a change. Natural products can never be replaced but this seems like a close enough option.
Definitely – Natural products can never be replaced. But this is a close enough products which is mess free.
Amazing and beautiful post. The packaging is really fantastic. I liked the texture of the shampoo.Great thought.
