Foot care is important for everyone, not only it looks nice but is important for a healthy body. We always take care of our face, but the most important part of our body, the foot is neglected. Your feet move you through the world, help you stand on the ground, so they need proper and regular care.
You don’t need an expensive spa treatment to take care of your feet. Spending a few minutes a day on foot care and maintaining some routines will help keep you free of these problems. Here are some tips to keep your feet looking their best all year long.

1. Clean & Scrub Your Feet
Wash your feet every day with warm water or take a foot bath. To take a foot bath soak your feet in warm water along with mild liquid soap. Ensure that the water must be a purified one. You can add a few drops of coconut oil or olive oil and 2 or 3 drops of essential oil of your choice. I generally use lavender essential oil to relax and refresh. Scrub your heel with a pumice stone to get rid of dry, rough skin. Remember, always use a pumice stone on wet skin to get maximum benefits.

2. Massage Your Feet
Get a foot massage once in a week with any good foot oil, mixed with 2-3 drops of essential oil of your choice. It will relax your mind by reducing stress and anxiety. It almost feels like relaxing on the perfect medical breakthrough massage recliner. Foot massaging has health benefits too – It lowers blood pressure, treats headache, enhances sleep and more. It will also help keep your feet soft and smooth.

3. Dry Your Feet
After washing well make sure to dry your feet completely, especially the space between your toes. Dry feet lessens the problem of infection, bad odor and athletes foot. Dry your feet with a soft cotton towel, but don’t rub.

4. Moisturize The Feet
Moisturize your feet after wash-dry process regularly. During winter you need to moisturize several times a day. No expensive creams or lotions are needed. Just pick up some basic products. Choose a cream with Kokum Butter or Coconut Oil as key ingredients to keep your feet super soft and healthy. Don’t forget to apply moisturizer at bedtime. To lock in the moisture put on a pair of soft cotton socks.

5. Always Trim Your Nails To A Suitable Length
Trimming toenails regularly is not only essential to look nice but also hygienic. Broken and ingrown toenails are painful too. But make it sure that you will not keep the nails too short, as they may cause discomfort.

6. Remove Your Polish
Don’t wear nail polish all the time. Let your nails breathe for some time. It is good for the health of nails. It will strengthen your nails too. When removing the polish, make sure to remove all of the old layers.

7. Wear Right Shoe
Always wear shoes that are rightly fitted. When buying a shoe, don’t buy tight shoe and the toe portion of the shoes should be wide. Pointed toes may be painful. Girls love to wear heels, but ensure to choose wide and comfortable heels. Again completely flat shoes are not healthy too, because they don’t give arch support. Don’t wear the same shoe continuously. Alternate the shoes every two days, as much you love to wear them. This will help air out your shoes and prevent infection.
