We have yet another beauty bag review and this time I am reviewing my first ever Boxy Charm. Boxy charm is a beauty box that retails for $20 and you get 5 full size skincare, makeup / hair care products. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this out, the products you get are totally amazing and the total value of all the products is over $100 – talk about bang for the buck. Let’s quickly get into the review.
Before I forget I am also trying to record video reviews of the products I get to try out. Do check out my review of my boxy charm, subscribe to my channel and share your love 🙂
Boxy Charm | September 2016
I received a total of five FULL sized products in my September 2016 Boxy Charm.
- Project Beauty Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Hair Mask
- butterLONDON Trend Nail Lacquer Yummy Mummy
- PUR Cosmetics Lip Lure Fancy
- Hikari Cosmetics Eye Liner Raven
- Studio Makeup “On-the-go” Palette
Let’s have a brief look at the products.
Project Beauty Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Hair Mask
I have received hair masks in some of my previous beauty bags but the quantity you receive is so tiny that you hardly get a few uses out of it and it makes it really hard to make up your mind whether you like the product or not. Project Beauty Hairgurt Smoothing Yogurt Hair Mask is a full sized 4 oz mask, which is free of parabens and sulphates. What I really about this mask is the mild fruity strawberry fragrance it has. The fragrance is truly very relaxing.
butterLONDON Trend Nail Lacquer Yummy Mummy
Is there such a thing as owning too many nude nail polishes – NAH! butterLondon Yummy Mummy is a gorgeous brownish nude shade which looks perfect on my dusky complexion. The brush is quite thick and despite being a person who is super messy at applying nail polishes I was able to get a considerably neat finish without streaks.
PUR Cosmetics Lip Lure Fancy
Fancy is a pretty mauve shade. It comes in a twist up pen with a hard sponge tip applicator. The applicator makes it easy to spread the product but it does get a little hard to get a clean finish.
Hikari Cosmetics Eye Liner Raven
Just like you can’t have too many nude nail polishes, you can’t own too many black eye pencils. Black is the staple eye pencil I reach for and I run through them quite quickly. Raven is definitely not the darkest black I own, but it feels smooth and glides on my eyes without tugging them.
Studio Makeup “On-the-go” Palette
Last but not the least, the best product in my Boxy Charm – Studio Makeup “On-the-go” Palette. This is a pretty 9 shadow neutral palette that retails for $49.95! Most of the shades are deeply pigmented with the exception of 2 light shades. I didn’t experience much fall off and these lasted quite long even without a primer. Super glad I got this in my bag.
Overall Boxy Charm is a totally amazing beauty bag and the products I received completely blew me over. The total value of the products I received is over $110 and I love every single product. If you haven’t tried Boxy Charm yet you are definitely missing out on something.
Overall verdict: 5 / 5
